A 14 year old male has been unwell with a flu like illness with fever, arthralgia and general malaise. He has also noticed that he easily bruises and has noticed some blood in his urine. On examination he is pyrexial, jaundiced and there is evidence of purpura. Bloods reveal anaemia, thrombocytopenia. raised reticulocyte count, elevated LDH, increased bilirubin and renal failure. A blood film reveals schistocytes. What is the most likely diagnosis?
